I am thinking of composing three different genres for each text. My first text is going to be a poster advertisement that targets children and youth by using large, colorful and fun fonts to catch the attention of young viewers. This poster will be displayed in places where kids are likely to be like schools, particularly in cafeterias or in school gyms. Or in grocery stores when children go shopping with their parents. As of now, the poster will be divided into 2 sides, one side showing an obese, unhappy kid with examples of the unhealthy foods and daily activities this person engages in. The other side will show a happy, healthy weight kid with examples of the healthy lifestyle choices they make. This will convince children to make healthier choices in order to be a happy person. My second text will be a textbook print page designed for high school/ college students studying nutrition, dietetics or psychology. The page will be focused on childhood obesity and its many factors including diet, exercise and psychological factors. The page will have basic font and be easy to follow. My 3rd text will be an informational pamphlet like the ones found in doctors office waiting rooms and will be designed to target parents of young kids. The pamphlet will include statistics of childhood obesity and the factors causing it. It will also includes ways that parents can prevent or even initiate obesity and give them tips on raising healthy kids. The pamphlet will have basic font and easy to follow with some pictures to engage the reader.

For my topic of animal-assisted therapy, I will be composing three different genres of text. First, i will be creating a fictional Instagram page targeted at college students, or a younger generation of individuals. This Instagram page will feature various different animals, a small description of the animal, and the animal-assisted therapy treatments that it specializes in. The use of a current and popular app will target younger audiences who suffer from anxiety and stress due to school commitments. Since this going to the involve the use of social media, it will be a digital medium. My next example will be an example of a pamphlet/brochure that you would typically find in a doctor or counselors office. This pamphlet will include easy to read fonts and the use of images in order to target the audience of people seeking alternative forms of medicine for certain illnesses. This pamphlet will encourage people to seek out AAT as a treatment when they have certain symptoms and are going through certain issues. Lastly, I will be creating an ad for a daycare facility that is centered around children with behavioral issues. Since AAT is a leading remedy for behavioral issues, this ad will highlight its strengths and use different colors and fonts in order to appeal to children, and also the parents that will be sending their children to this facility.

For my topic, threats to different tropical ecosystems and actions that can be taken to decrease complete destruction, I am thinking about creating are a textbook page, a brochure and a billboard sign. My idea is to focus each of the three genres on each of the three ecosystems in my paper. So for the first one, the coral reefs, and more specifically, the Great Barrier Reef, i plan to make a textbook page for environmental students. The audience will be college students environmental studies and even majoring in environmental studies. I will be creating a layout with bold text, color and diagrams/pictures of The Great Barrier Reef and the most common threats it encounters. The second genre will be a brochure/pamphlet that goes into detail on threat mangrove forests face. Most people are not familiar with mangrove forests, so the brochure will go into detail and give description on exactly what they are. The audience will be anyone interested in what is causing mangrove forests to die off so quickly, so most likely scientists and researches. The medium of the brochure will be print and maybe a digital copy. The last genre is a billboard promoting the threats to sea grass beds, specifically in Key West, Florida. The main audience will Key West residents as well as fishers, boaters, and people on vacation. The medium will be print on a billboard. The information will be easy to read and clear to understand that propellers on in shallow waters tear up sea grass beds. I plan to keep i consideration the audiences for each genre and make each one easy to understand.

For my topic I have decided on three different audiences, students, doctors, and patients. The first median I have chosen for this project is a booklet stating what and what not to eat. This would mostly appeal to patients. Then go into a brief summary of the healthy benefits and the potential health risk. The second thing i was think about doing was a chapter in textbook like the example you showed in class. The chapter would include vocabulary words and key concepts. Also and data and examples. The target audience would be students. The third median I have decided on is a brochure that doctors can place in their office for visitors to see.

For my research topic, abuse in the film industry, I have an idea for the three different projects I want to come up with. I want to write a script format of the material I wrote in my paper. The medium would be print and the audience would consist of actors, directors, crew members, and anyone else involved in the movie making process of this particular film. I also want to create a film critic’s review, either a digital review or in print in a newspaper column. The audience would be movie goers, people involved in that particular film, and people who like to know what type of film they are about to see (such as parents who are cautious of what their children watch). The third part of the project could be a movie poster, with the audience being the general public: parents, children, elderly, young adults, etc., which will be on a poster paper medium. Each of the three texts will contain variations of what I wrote about in the essay, but it will be reformatted so that the text matches the medium and the audience. For instance I can have the fictional characters discussing what goes on in the film industry in the script. The film critic’s review can be about a fake movie that involves the abuse in the film industry, and the poster can advertise a movie consisting of different types of abuse.

My project talks about a medical and scientific topic: the use of scorpion venom to treat cancer. Because of this, I must refer to types of genres and publications with the same purpose and due to the specificity of my topic I have very reduced audiences to target. With the different texts I will create, I intend to divide the content and explain the main aspect though different genres, just like the subsections in the research paper. For the first text, I plan to create a Drug Review, that could be accessed online in websites like WebMD (or similar), where I would use the main stylistic elements of the website but creating a fake drug and rating it based on real-life experiences. This would cover the testimonial part of the research paper for a drug with the same uses as Escozine and Vidatox. The audience would be Cancer Patients, their families, and pharmacists interested in this new drug. The second text will be an infographic printed poster, something seen at a doctor’s office, with clear, summarized information about alternatives to treat cancer. The targeted audience is once again cancer patients, but also oncology doctors and nurses. The third text will take care of the science part of the paper, the biochemical explanation for the drug’s effectivity, but this time targeting young cancer patients: children, and teenagers. The information will be delivered in a brochure/pamphlet, also seen at a doctor’s office, in the wait room, with an easy to understand language, and colorful details that grab the children’s attention.

For Project 3, I will be presenting my information and ideas by creating a website, an informational brochure, and an ad for an app that monitors children use of technology on devices like tablets, ipods, phones, and even laptops. All of the targeted audiences will be the same for each text: parents, teachers, and people with access to either the internet of any other medium that I will use to present the information. Secondary audiences would be parents-to-be, school administration and family members of young children because they also influence the use of technology by children. To create my 3 different texts, I will be using weebly to make my website, I will use Word to make a brochure and I have not decided what I will be using to make my ad for the technology monitoring product.

The three different genres I am considering composing are a television commercial, pamphlet, and news article. For my first text I plan to deliver it through the television by a commercial. This commercial would be aimed towards a younger audience and towards people who have seen the movie Split. This commercial would feature very short scenes from Split that showcase the monstrous look they gave the split-personality character and spell out during the scenes, "This is not Dissociative Identity Disorder." I will then either show what people who really have the disorder are like or simply have a fake website for viewers to visit for more information. My second text, the pamphlet, will be geared more towards individuals who fear they may have the disorder or were diagnosed with it. This pamphlet will include symptoms and ways to cope. My third and final text will likely be a news article. This will aim for the older generations who may still stubbornly not believe D.I.D. to be a true disorder. With a news article that includes statistics, this older generations may become less reluctant to believe and come to understand Dissociative Identity Disorder.

The genres I am thinking of composing in are a poster, a textbook chapter, and a food or nutrition journal. The first two genres are targeting the audience of college students. The intention of the first genre is to show college students the danger of multitasking of studying while using social media and technology. The textbook chapter is intended for college students as an audience because this is the age group that is most likely to study from a textbook. The audience for the food journal is the journal keeper. It is meant for personal use and not intended to be mass produced for other people to see. The medium I plant to deliver the poster through is a digital picture, but mass produced on paper to be hung around university campuses. Essentially, it will be created digitally and submitted digitally but meant to be in paper format. This is the same for the textbook chapter, it will produced digitally but meant for the medium of paper when produced in a textbook. The medium I plan to deliver the food journal through is paper. The daily journal entries will be hand written.

For project 3, the genres I am thinking of composing in are a poster/ad, a social media post, and a dream journal. For the poster/ad I am mainly focusing on the audience being patients in a waiting room. I'm thinking about it either being a handout where patients can sort of grab a sheet, or a poster on the wall. The medium I will use to produce it is digital, but it is intended to be either a printed handout or poster. The social media post will be posted from a fake company but intended to attract teenagers/young adults on social media. It will be a simple post to grab attention and then have a website for more info. The medium will be all digital. The dream journal I will be recording dreams in a journal. The audience is only intended for whose dream journal it is. It will be handwritten and the medium used here will be in real journal pages.

For my topic of new and innovative medical technology I plan to have three different kinds of texts and genres. My first text would be a pamphlet geared towards the audience of patients. It will have calm colors such as blue and conservative font that is not too bold. It will have all sorts of information for patients regarding the benefits for using new medical technologies. The second text will be a textbook page to be used by medical student and doctor based audience. It will have easy to read font and simple black and white colors. It will contain how they can use these innovative technologies to perform surgeries and save countless lives. Lastly, I will have a flyer/ad with flashy colors and fonts to catch the attention of an important audience of potential benefactors. It will advertise a promotional event such as a 3k run to raise money for the research and process of making new medical technologies. This will allow inventors to get the proper funding to create innovative devices.

There are many genre’s I have been thinking about composing in, but I think the three most effective ways would be through media, a journal, and print. Since these are all quite different genres, they will help highlight ideas in which my texts are going to show. I plan on targeting the government/lawmakers, the youth of America, and policemen. I starred these audiences because they seemed to have the most to talk about. It would be interesting to hear how the government would make changes going forward and how they would implement them. The youth of America is also an interesting audience to hear from because they will be the ones who will be living through the government’s decision. Policemen would have to implement new rules to cater the ruling of the government and would be interested how they will have to do so in the future. The mediums I plan on delivering my content through will be: an advertisement/flyer (media), a scholarly journal (something like a NY Times journal entry), and a textbook page for students (print). I think the government and lawmakers would be able to use an advertisement to show the new changes coming forward. I think a scholarly journal would help show what people during this time of change would think and how people would react to whatever decision the government would make. I think that using a textbook page would be a good way of showing how the topic at hand is relevant and how people can gain knowledge from such a topic. There is a lot to discuss in my topic, but I think these ideas would be the best way going forward with my project.

For my topic of abortion, I will be composing three genres of text. Since abortion is a very touchy topic and there are people for and against it, I am going to for and against genres with my topic, and I will be using a genre to educate. For my first genre, I will be composing a billboard about plan parenthood. This billboard is going to be for abortion, this billboard will be addressed to women who are looking for other ways to not keep their pregnancy. This genres medium will be print, almost like a screen because it will be big and it will catch everyone’s attention. For my second genre, I will be composing flyers about why abortions are not good, against abortion. This genre of text, will be addressed to both female and male. It will be addressing the fact of why abortion is not good for the body and there are other options that abortion. This genre’s medium, will either be print or digital, I have not yet decided but it will definitely be one or the other. And for my last genre of text, I will be composing a textbook print page, designed to address students. These qualities of text will be for high school, college, or graduate students. This genre will be educating students about abortion, what are benefits, what are not benefits, what are other options, what it can do to one’s body, and what it can do to one’s health. This genre’s medium with a print because it will be textbook.

For my project 3, I am thinking about creating a brochure, a poster, and a diary. My topic is the ling-term effects of drugs found on college campuses, therefore, I believe these 3 topics will be able to communicate my topic to various different audiences. The brochure will be informative and detailed, meant to be distributed to kids and high schoolers as they will soon be faced with the freedom that comes with college. This will provide them with the background information they need on the popular drugs found on college campuses and the negative consequences that come with using them. The poster will be similar to the ones found in dormitory hallways on college campuses. It will provide short, concise information on the topic and will grab their attention as they walk to their rooms everyday. It will encourage them to look into the effects of these drugs, and research the consequences that come if they choose to try them. Lastly, I would like to create a diary, filled with entries made by someone who heavily uses a certain drug. Through their entries as time passes, I want to show how depression, suicidal thoughts, and other scary effects begin to show through their writing. The diary will be handwritten, and then submitted digitally, and the poster and brochure will both be created digitally.

For project 3 I am planning on discussing recent changes in birth control laws. This is interesting as it greatly varies throughout the past three presidencies, and has greatly affected teenagers and parents. It will be interesting for them to hear. This is a medical genre. For my project 3, I am thinking of composing in either a poster, website, or print. I think these mediums allows for the most information to be relayed to the audience, whom ever it ends up being. A poster will be clear and easy to read and have the right amount of information posted and present. A website will have multiple ways of displaying the information and many different features that will allow information to be displayed in a creative way. Print is pretty broad but will also allow for a concise amount of data to be presented. I am planning on targeting teenage parents, teenagers, and high schoolers.

For the 3 texts I must produce I am thinking of doing different genres for each. For my first text I want to create an app. The way I want to portray this is by creating the app with the bio you typically see in the app store. Since my topic is how technology is affecting education, I want to come up with an app that would really benefit children, leaning more towards the k-5 age group. The next text I want to create is an email exchange between a teacher and a student. This will show the new way the student-teacher relationship has evolved with the use of technology. The audience for the email would be the teacher and the student. My third and final text is going to be a Quizlet. Quizlet is now a study tool many students use on a regular basis. The audience for this quizlet would be students themselves. I want to create this Quizlet to show how beneficial this study tool is.

For project 3 you could use a few different genre's to describe my writings. It is a slight mix between sports, drugs, and medicine or medical genre. One way of portraying this is using a flyer handout that gives information of how bad steroids can be for you and is convincing people not to use them. The next form is going to be a plaque that will be in every baseball dugout in the major leagues. The last is a letter written to a doctor asking what he can do to make the drug testing better and not as easy to get around. Audiences can vary but for the most part it is the adults who are targeted as well as high school and college students.

For this project I thought the two genres that would best explain my topic the Holocaust would be doing a journal/diary or a brochure. People these days don’t really have too much insight on what the Holocaust really was so starting off doing a journal/ diary style will help people understand what happened. Inside this journal will be stories told from holocaust survivors explaining everything they went through making you feel as if you were there to get a slight feeling of what they had. By doing this people will understand the importance it is that people learn what when down so nothing like this will ever happen again. On the other hand, I thought a brochure as well because in the brochure I can give a quick summary of the Holocaust with pictures. As well as names of places to find out more information of the holocaust. Having internet links, places around the world like museums that they can go and get more insight on this event. For this project I plan on targeting an audience all the way from middle schoolers to graduates and adults.

As far as audience goes, I am planning on targeting government officials/concerned parents who want drugs and drug traffickers off the street. In another, I am planning on targeting drug users themselves. And lastly, I am planning on targeting drug traffickers themselves.

For my Project three I will be creating a flyer, article and a ad. My topic is Tiger Woods and I believe these genres are going to work well for composing project 3. The flyer will be targeting the audience of young golfers who may be interested in attending a skills camp hosted by Tiger Woods to learn from one of the best. These flyers would be seen throughout golf courses al around the country. The article will be about the challenges Tiger has gone through will injuries and the audience for this article would most likely be Sports Medicine students who are looking to learn more about knee and back injuries specifically to golfers and this article would be seen in some curriculum. The ad will be a billboard ad and the focused audience will be for the average golfer who is looking for the best golf apparal to use such as Nike. The ad will show different golf apparal for everyone. I plan on making the artilce, ad, and flyer digitally.

My topic, Medicinal Marijuana, my genre would be research based articles, brochures, and advertising. My audiences that I have chosen are researchers and scientists, pharmaceutical companies, and the government. There is much needed research and information on marijuana that would revolutionize the medicine community and the government. This project would provide a platform for the many possible medical uses for marijuana. It would be appealing to many different areas of work and society, making this project very useful.

My topic is on animal testing, for this project I am planning on creating an ad, a pamphlet and a billboard. The flyer/ad will be targeting a younger audience because they are the most vulnerable when it comes to animal cruelty and it could encourage them to tell their parents to buy cruelty-free products. This ad will have easy to read text along with a bold, large font so children can read it easily and an animal character that they can relate to in order to fully engage them. The other text I intend to create is a pamphlet for women so they can be more educated on the beauty products they purchase. This pamphlet will include pictures of animals in the lab, with factual information and statistics; along with a list of cruelty free products they can purchase. Lastly, my third medium is a billboard targeting men. The billboard will be centered on delivering a message to men on purchasing “Jack Black’s Blue Mark Eau de Parfum”, a vegan cologne for men, giving men the incentive to consider vegan products. It will be large enough for many people to see and a picture of the product, along with bold text to get the point across to men.

The genres I feel most comfortable working in is writing, so I will try to diverge from that and go more graphic in at least one of the parts of this project. I have two good ideas for genres in writing, which are a doctor’s chart with information on a patient that will be a part of the terrible trend of rising maternal mortality. This will show information about her vitals, the circumstances leading up to her hospitalization, and her signs and symptoms. My only obstacle with this part of the project is finding a good template. My other writing idea is of a research proposal that a graduate student would be presenting. Although I don’t know much of research proposals or grad school, I feel like I can do a pretty good job of emulating one. For my more graphic presentation, I’m thinking of doing a pamphlet, as boring as that is, I can’t think of anything better for the life of me. I’ll try and think of something more interesting and in a graphic medium.

My topic is determining if someone is lying based on facial expressions, body language and verbal language. The genres that I am interested in for my three texts are a flyer advertising a book, a short video, and a website. The flyer will be accessed by hanging up in public or through a link on the website, the website will be accessed through the internet, and the short video will be accessed through a link posted on the website. These three texts will all be geared towards three different audiences. The audience for the website will be couples who suspect that their significant other is lying. The audience for the flyer advertising a book will be politicians. It will inform them that this book will teach them how to keep the public from figuring out their lies. Lastly, for the short video, the audience will be law enforcement and investigators. The video will inform them how to properly detect whether someone is lying or not during an interrogation.
